Jim has a nice Davis Vantage Pro2 weather station mounted on the house, thanks to Connie earning money on the fire lines. The station has a fan aspirated temperature and humidity sensor, an anenometer, tipping bucket rain guage and a solar and UV sensor. It’s linked to the web and the current weather can be seen at weather Underground. 

Living on top of a ridge is nice for the view but it also tends to be windy. We’ve had gusts up to 70 mph during the Spring windy season. At about 50 mph the roof flashing starts to rattle.
